Contribute to the site

This site is set up to allow stakeholders to easily enter and share reports, news stories, events, and other resources. As more informational resources are entered, all stakeholders will save time and their projects and efforts will be more successful.  We encourage you to help the watershed by finding and making available Fresno River watershed-related information in this web library and portal.

How to contribute

1.  You will need to register to create a log in name and password.  When you register, you will need to fill in information about yourself including contact information.

2.  Your initial entries will be reviewed by the site moderators to help ensure the quality is appropriate. As trust in your skills increases, the moderators will not need to review your entries or edits.

3.  If problems occur with the information you have entered through the editing of others, the system administrators can retrieve earlier archived versions of the information and use this to replace the problem one.

4.  You should use the My Folder function once you are logged in to enter and edit resources on the site. This allows you to keep track of what you have worked on.

5. Once in My Folder and in the appropriate location in the website, you click on “add items” and choose the appropriate item to add.

6.  Fill in all the metadata fields you can and then go to the bottom and be sure to hit Save.

7.  After you have reread your entries and are ready to share your content with others, go to the 'state' menu at the upper right, and select 'submit'. Portal moderators will review your content and approve it for publication.
